In 1970, the International Exposition has been held in Japan for the first time, attracting the attention of tourists from around the world to Osaka and, at the same time, Dotonbori Hotel has been established. 20 years passed in a blink of an eye.
The '4 statues' was built in front of the entrance of Dotonbori Hotel in 1991. Starting from left, they represent people of Asians, Africans, Arabs and Westerners, representing our goal to strive to offer the best hospitality services to people from all around the world. The philoshopy of 'hospitality' is rooted inside our heart since the establishment of Dotonbori Hotel and it grows deeper with each passing day. To date, we earned praises from guests internationally and is widely known as "the hotel of smile".

Hence, we came up with our monthly-updated lobby display and events that let guests experience Japanese culture such as Kimono wearing, Takoyaki, Okonomiyaki, Sushi and Mochitsuki. It was modest at first, but we were glad that our guests enjoy them greatly. We learned and improve as we continue and we are now offering Japanese cultural events daily.
Moreover, after 10:30PM, the all-you-can-eat ramen and draft beer service opens at our lobby, where lots of smiles from various nations can be seen. In 2013, UNESCO listed Japanese food as an intangible culture. At Dotonbori Hotel, we establish a breakfast restaurant with the concept: "the place you can taste true Japanese breakfast", and separate American breakfast zone and Japanese meal zone. At the zone, you can find pictures of warm rice and raw eggs, challenging you try a dish foreign to foreigners; the "Tamago Kake Gohan" (egg on rice), or taste the delicious Miso soup.
